GENEALOGY VOLUNTEERS NEEDED

Please call the church office at 223-2611, if you are interested in helping people who are looking for information about their ancestors in the church archives. We will be glad to train you.The Archives Committee has been hard at work to make the first records of our church available to all.

St. John’s Lutheran Church records date to the church’s founding in 1857. In order to preserve the fragile records and facilitate research, records are being scanned and/or transcribed. This is a work in progress. Please keep in mind that early records in German script may be difficult to read.
